SystemOne seeks a highly experienced, dynamic and motivated senior HIV relationship builder and deal closer who can work with a range of institutional donors at the highest levels. The successful candidate will lead relationship development with a number of key donors, as well as the development funding applications. The ideal candidate has highly developed communication and negotiation skills with a substantial track record of raising significant levels of funding from institutional donors such as DFID, USAID, the Global Fund, Unitaid, Gates Foundation, CDC and other funding organizations.
Work closely with the Global Health Team Leader to develop and execute strategies for key HIV donors to secure funding to reach SystemOne’s targets and financial forecasts. Primary tasks:
lead of key strategic relationships with institutional donors
ensure coordinated approaches to key donors across SystemOne
prospect and gather intelligence on institutional donors and funding opportunities
oversee and execute timely and high-quality responses to opportunities which include writing, leading or coordinating proposal development or building a case for support development
come up with new ideas to help solve challenges donors share
be the relationship manager for key donors and project partners within the organization and externally
Bring in others on the global health and executive team for face-time with these contacts when appropriate
Nurture excellent donor and external stakeholder relations, ensuring a positive impression of SystemOne and its mission
Participate and accelerate the closing of sales.Nurturing great relationships is critical, but closing deals is existential.
Note: This position plays a vital role contributing to knowledge gathering and sharing across SystemOne, as t can gather feedback that informs product development, pricing/finance, and marketing.

I. Serve as the HIV focal point for assigned key institutional donors
Ensure a coordinated approach to key institutional donors within the Global Health team and across SystemOne.
Develop donor strategies for assigned institutional donors.
Track new policies, political changes, and funding trends for each assigned donor.
Communicate with the assigned donor’s identified staff
2. Gather and consolidate intelligence on institutional funding opportunities and support the global health sales team strategy, planning and external relations activities
Lead the relationships with a number of key institutional donors.
Work with Global Health Team Leader, implementation team staff and other SystemOne staff to coordinate efforts for sales into HIV programs.
Provide information on donors and their priorities and advise on new funding opportunities.
Develop targeted communications to send directly to donor staff and to prepare SystemOne senior management attending meetings where donors will be present.
Research new funding opportunities and donor priorities, consolidate information on donors and advise on new funding opportunities.
Rigorously contribute and update information in SystemOne’s CRM.
3. Coordinate cross-organization teams to successfully create and complete proposals
Identify new funding opportunities.
Create content for and ensure QA on proposals for assigned donors.
Assess, research, design and write funding proposals.
Liaise with donor staff, partners and respective teams to consolidate inputs for proposals, including managing select proposal components to deadline.
Lead cross-organization teams to develop proposals.
Provide practical support to teams in proposal development, coordinating the internal review process and providing substantive input on proposals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant postgraduate qualification and minimum 15 years’ experience in international development, global health, or similar field.
Deep understanding of and solid track record working with HIV/AIDS issues in developing countries
Extensive knowledge of individuals, donor and networks making significant contributions in the global response to HIV
Established networks and relationships with key institutional donors relevant to the HIV response.
Considerable experience accessing funding through developing proposals and reports from a variety of donors.
Experience strategizing and developing donor relationships.
Considerable experience preparing and presenting to a range of audiences.
Experience identifying and building relationships with donors and MoHs.
Experience managing development programs and all stages of program cycle highly desirable.
Relevant work experience gained overseas highly desirable.
