SystemOne Bolsters Its Technical Capabilities with New Talent from Pakistan, The Philippines, India, Nigeria and US

NORTHAMPTON, MA, United States, and JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, December 20, 2023 — SystemOne, the leading provider of connectivity for medical diagnostic instruments across high disease-burden countries (HBDCs), is thrilled to announce the addition of new team members to its diverse workforce. These new hires bring a wealth of experience and expertise from various corners of the globe, further expanding SystemOne's capabilities, commitment to diversity, and focus on hiring staff in and from countries where the company’s technology is used.

The recent hires span a variety of roles and will enable SystemOne's work across Africa and Asia. In order of hire, the following individuals joined SystemOne.

Steve Petersen, Fractional Chief Technology Officer, San Francisco, CA: a Stanford engineer and serial entrepreneur with 15+ years of experience in technology leadership and innovation. He has co-founded and led successful startups and his expertise with real-time data, data science, and software architecture will contribute to SystemOne's commitment to building cutting-edge solutions. Prior to SystemOne, Steve was a Stanford StartX Founder and remains co-Founder at Riff.

Khazeem Jimoh, Full-Stack Engineer, lives in the United Kingdom. He brings experience in server side & front end technologies, and will help integrate Aspect with new lab devices & extend functionality to serve Aspect Mobile. Prior to SystemOne, Khazeem was a Senior Software Engineer with the Terragon Group in Lagos, Nigeria, building workflows between services with event-driven architectures and optimizing and scaling applications.

Hafiz Usman Azeem, Full Stack Engineer, lives in Lahore, Pakistan. Usman’s proficiency includes technologies such as React, Next, Amplify, CDK, and Node. Usman's work with the full web development lifecycle and proficiency with frameworks like NestJS and AWS CDK, will contribute to SystemOne's development initiatives. Prior to joining SystemOne, Usman held roles as a Software Engineer at OCloud Solutions and an Associate Software Engineer at Shark Innovation Labs in Lahore.

Ben Paul Angelo Velasco - Jr. Network Engineer - Cabanatuan, Philippines. With deep experience in network engineering, Ben Paul has served as a Network Telecom Principal Engineer at the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines. His expertise spans VDSL2, SDH, DWDM, MPLS, and various network security aspects, making him a valuable addition to SystemOne's global networking and security endeavors. He also managed WAN and SD-WAN services, configured routers, provided network support, and set up firewalls for Hosted Network.

Prasad Venkata Kothe, Director of Engineering, Hyderabad, India: With over 20 years of expertise in product strategy, technology, and solution architecture, Venkata has managed offshore development centers and driven innovation across various industries. Venkata’s leadership and technical skills will play a pivotal role in steering SystemOne's engineering initiatives. Previous to SystemOne, Venkata served as director of engineering for BIRD Analytics, and prior to that, Principal Architect for Headway Data Systems, where he managed Cloud Native applications, drove AWS remediation teams, and designed APIs for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Nidhi Mishra, Product Owner, Pune, India: Nidhi has been a Senior Consultant in Agile delivery, has a strong background in IT consulting, business consulting, and program management. Her skills in Scrum, business analysis, and Agile will contribute to SystemOne's commitment to delivering high-quality, agile solutions. Most recently Nidhi worked for Akkodis, providing consultation to HSBC Global on setting up Agile delivery for Talent Transformation Program and Success Factor implementation. She also worked for Cerence Inc., focused on product ownership and scrum mastering for a variety of projects.
