SystemOne Connects Diagnostics and EID Data for Clinical Impact
Springfield, MA—January 5, 2018—SystemOne, a connected diagnostics company using data to drive healthcare impact and solutions, announces new work supporting the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF). SystemOne technologies allow countries to opt to connect, move, and interpret data from EGPAF’s Point-of-Care (POC) Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) testing centers in nine countries: Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Rwanda Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
SystemOne’s connectivity solutions will enable Ministries of Health (MoH) and EGPAF to:
Monitor the disease and operational characteristics of POC EID testing deployments (Cepheid GeneXpert and/or Abbott Alere q)
Decrease turnaround time of tests by:
Transmitting results in real time via SMS to the requesting facilities
Providing scheduled reports/alerts to be delivered via email or SMS
Reduce programmatic spending by:
Providing transparency into average cost per test result
Highlighting sites where stock-outs/expired cartridges are common
Support inventory management and instrument utilization by:
Reducing system down-time
Accelerating uptake of new instrument purchases
Forecasting commodity needs and procurement
Support quality assurance and quality improvement efforts by:
Providing remote monitoring of POC EID testing and internal quality control failures
Accelerating response time and deployment of corrective actions when needed.
SystemOne will provide its connected diagnostics platform GxAlert, data and server management, and support and training for MoH and EGPAF users.
