After graduating from college, Doug worked as an environmental engineer cleaning up and revitalizing contaminated properties at Environmental Compliance Services (ECS), Inc. While there, he earned an MBA and shifted his focus to operations: establishing scalable project and business management tools, developing sound financial controls, and honing business models for ECS's expanding business lines. He became Chief Financial Officer and formulated equity liquidity plans for shareholders and equity incentive plans for management. He established a financing subsidiary that provided the parent company a strategic competitive advantage in a high margin niche of the consulting industry. After guiding the growing firm through several successful acquisitions, helping it become a 250-employee firm with $45M in annual revenues, Doug facilitated the acquisition of ECS in October 2016. Doug holds a BA in Environmental Policy and a BS in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from The University of Massachusetts. He lives in Williamsburg, MA, with his wife, twin sons, daughter and her two enormous orange cats.
